Hello and welcome to my workshop!
Working with ceramics has always been a favourite pastime for me. Come to think of it, my earliest memory was handling some badly damaged Meissen figures in my mum and dads antique shop – that’s going back almost 50 years ago now. I found them captivating and interesting because of their intricacy. I then went on to work in the family antique shop in my mid-twenties and this is where my passion for porcelain grew.
Since then, I have acquired my repair skills with support from a restoration studio in Oxford. After successfully completing their courses, I went on to set up Colchester Ceramic Restorations. Combining my years of experience in dealing with ceramics alongside my restoration skills.
With this, I aim to provide a first-class but reasonably priced restoration service, so I can be called upon to restore objects of sentimental value as well as more valuable pieces. Using painstaking and highly skilled techniques to provide a seamless finish. Because it’s better when these things last, rather than lost to time and forgotten.
